Changed to different flight can I get credit?

Hi, I wondered if anyone can offer any advice please? I have a holiday booked with easyJet for next year. When I booked I selected flights later in the day and paid extra ££ per person. I’ve had an email saying these flights have now changed. We’ve been moved to early morning flights in both directions (4hrs earlier), and have new flight numbers. I emailed easyJet to say that as I paid more for my later flights, and they now can’t provide this service can I have a credit for the additional amount I paid for my later flights (ie difference between later and earlier flights at time of booking). They replied and basically said no. I feel I paid for something I’m not getting. Does anyone know how I can argue my case, or should I just accept my loss of money? Thanks very much!

Thanks notimagain for your response. I just find it amazing they can charge people for choosing different flights, then move them to the cheaper flight without any credit. I saw a flight the other day whilst browsing holidays, and it was an additional £450 per person to chose the later time flight! Imagine if you then got moved to the earlier one, that’s about £1500 lost, but you can’t claim it back!

I had this happen on a pair of sectors I booked recently - it was a PITA but I’m not sure you can claim.

Sounds like you’ve been informed more than two weeks before the date of the first sector, and the flights still operate on the same days so there is no compensation due, but very happy to be corrected…

In had something like this happen on a flight I’d booked recently and whilst it was a PITA
