Uk passport renewal

Does anyone know how long adult passport renewals done online are taking to come back? Only thing I can find online is on the. Gov website which says to allow 10 weeks but just looking to see has anyone has theirs back any faster than that.

I applied for DD's last weekend and sent the old passport immediately and I've not heard that they've received the old one. Neither has DS who did his the same day.

I just sent DS's off to get renewed - it said to allow 10 weeks but it only took two.

I have had an email from Passport Office to say it's on its way. Applied online exactly 2 weeks ago and being delivered today (hopefully) by TNT. Great service!

Dd had hers renewed recently child to adult, took 7 days in total (online) as we did application and put old passport in post on a Saturday evening, (So post wasn’t taken until Monday)
They received old passport on Tuesday issued new passport on Wednesday received by us on Friday

got 2 kids renewal passports back yesterday that I had sent special delivery the previous Monday so was impressively fast! The whole process is so much easier these days - being able to take your own photos and email countersignature.

I’ve just had a first infant passport delivered which took 12 days from online application to delivery and we had an issue with the photo so I’d expect a renewal to take less time than that!

Sent my old one 2 days ago, 2nd class post. Passport office have texted and emailed me to let me know they've received it! When things work in this country it's great!

My renewal came back in five working days, with a bank holiday in the middle. The old passport took a bit longer to return but not worried about that.

Just done mine online after realising it expires in November! Couldn't believe how easy it was and also the level of communication so far, plus being able to track your application. Great to hear it's not taking too long to process👍.
