Toddler’s buggy on Ryanair flight

I’m on a Ryanair flight in 10 days time with my 2.5 year old ds. Up until now I’ve always had him in my ergo 360 but I think he’s probably too big for that now and I was thinking to get an umbrella buggy that he can nap in if needed. My question is can I take the buggy all the way to the plane? I’ve seen people leave it by the bottom of the stairs to the plane but that’s been people with infants.
I know you can take two pieces of equipment free of charge but not sure if that is is only for infants?
Thought I’d ask here as it’s such a pain to get specific info from Ryanair.

Any recommendations for a umbrella buggy for a toddler (up to 25 kg)?

I think it's different by airports too. Check. I landed in Barcelona and it was a very very long walk before I was reunited with my buggy (with crawling child and being pregnant - nightmare).

Honestly they won’t question you - they just ask if the buggy collapses into one or two pieces so they give you the right amount of luggage tabs. I travelled with mine for DS until he was 3 and a half as the lazy little bugger didn’t walk until he was gone 2 !

Thank you Chefwifelife, Hersetta427, and usernotfound0000 - Ryanair’s website is not very clear, in one place they refer to infants and in another they say child when they state that you can bring two pieces of equipment for free🤔🤔🤔 I was thinking to do a screenshot in case they question me about it🤔

You should have no issues with taking the buggy to the plane steps. I have done it more than a dozen times as DS was a (very) late walker and my parents live in Spain so I travelled frequently.

We've just got back from holiday and took our buggy to the plane steps both ways. We collected the buggy from the oversized luggage area, but it is worth checking as some airports give the buggy back at the airport steps too but it is airport dependent. Also, Ryanair class an infant as being under 23 months so technically you can't take a buggy at that age, but we travelled with friends who had a 2.5 year old and they had no issue with it.

@Sakura03 yep it was all good to go as soon as we left the plane I wouldn’t have managed without it I don’t think.

zeeboo I’ve used my 360 ergo so much, totally love it but I would need to be able to carry a rucksack so carrying my son on my back wouldn’t be an option.

Hey @Sakura03 we flew to turkey last year with Ryan air. DS was just under 2. We took our stroller all the way to the door of the plane then the staff took it away to be loaded on the plane for us.

The 360 is a pretty poor relation to the original Ergo but I wore my daughter on my back in a classic Ergo really happily at that age.
