Travelling with a 2 month old

Has anyone traveled with a 2month old? Due to Covid-19 our holiday for this year is looking to be re-scheduled to next year which will mean possibly travelling with a 2month old. We will be staying in a villa in Turkey and flying from the UK.
Can you take a pram frame and a lay down top as baggage on a plane?
Thank you!

I travelled to Turkey last year to with my then 2 month old son and he was a saint. Slept through the whole thing even though he was a high needs baby. I brought a YO-YO stroller which was good as I could fold it and put in the overhead locker.

I fed him during take off and landing so his ears wouldn't get blocked and gave him a pacifier when there was a little turbulence. I travelled with Turkish Airlines and they allocated a baby basinett seat for me which meant that I was able to watch movies and eat without having to hold the baby. I travelled with my husband and he did all the carrying (the stroller, baby bag etc) which was helpful.

A week after we returned from Turkey, we travelled to Portugal as well (my DS was almost 3 months then) and again we had no issues, he slept through the whole thing but I did have to change his nappy as he woke up and did a poo. Changing his nappy in a small toilet wasn't so bad after all. I definitely think it's easier to travel when they are so young before they get very active and now I'm kind of glad all our holidays are put on hold as my DS is 14 months and won't sit still to save his life!

Btw, I had made sure my son had his first set of immunisations before we went on our first holiday. During our holiday, obviously kept him out of the sun and never took him in the pool or sea as I was scared he might get ill and there were a couple of parents who took their little one for a swim (babies were 3 months and 4 months) and they mentioned they had a rough few nights.

Make sure you feed them a lot as they get very thirsty in hot weather and don't turn the ac in your hotel room. Good luck

I took my daughter to Turkey when she was 2 months and it was a lot easier then than when she was older.

You can take the pram up to the gate when you get on the plane. Anything else will go in the hold.

2 months is very little, I wouldn't go without immunisations and I don't think I'd fancy taking a tiny on a plane at all unless things change dramatically re covid.

You can take a stroller but not a carry cot / frame in the hold, the carry cot would have to go in the hold.
