where can't you wait to go?

For me it's Italy - specifically Sicily.

Greek islands, but not until August/September 2021. We were due to go to Rhodes in June this year but it is cancelled and now we have to join the long queue for refunds. We don’t want to transfer it to next year until we are sure everything is back to normal, we’ve already lost a holiday last year that was cancelled due to lack of planes caused by Thomas Cook going out of business, and TUI cancelling our flights as their planes were being diverted to other destinations.

Alaska as we were going to go this summer.

Had a wonderful trip planned this summer to Costa Rica which we'll hope to retake at some point, but got a real hankering to go back to Canada specifically Vancouver Island and Whistler as we loved it so much.

My recommendations before choosing anywhere:

  1. Check status of Covid 19 in the area - has it been past the peak?
  2. What are the local social distancing guidelines?
  3. Are there plans to restart flights (only available when the FCO changes advice)?
  4. Check local medical facilities
  5. Will your insurance policy cover Covid 19 related illnesses?
  6. Will you resort / villa / destination have adequate cleaning / disinfecting activities on a daily basis?

At least we should all have plenty of annual leave to use up! We've already cancelled two holidays, so that's 10 'extra' days we'll be able to use when all this is over.

We are waiting to emigrate to NZ - should have been going in June. Who knows when we will get there now...hoping by the end of the year! But fully expect to have to isolate and be tested on entry. The only positive sign we have right now is that visas are being processed again.

One of my own Cornish beaches a short drive away to kayak. This lovely weather is torturing me!

Somewhere where I can swim, snorkel and dive in warm blue water, followed by some lazing around in the sun with a beer or two.

Likely to be somewhere in the Med, will see if we can find somewhere in September or October on the off chance it will be allowed by then, really not pinning hopes on anything at the moment.

Or maybe as both DP and I are still currently working and getting paid (very fortunate I know) we'll have saved up enough unspent holiday money to go somewhere further afield that we normally wouldn't think about.

A hotel in Santorini with my best pal. I love my DH and DS so much but feel we'll all do well with a bit of time off each other. DH will head off with his friends too at some point and we'll still do something with DS before school restarts but I'm craving some quiet time.

I really fancy a UK hotel with a nice spa and near some scenic coastal walks.

Anywhere with sunshine and a beach. Preferably a small village in Greece but I don't think I'll be nearly so fussy once this is all over!

Been to Sicily twice & loved it.

I want to go where we were about to book - Mekong cruise & some land bits with it.
