I am looking for suggestions on holidays. DP & I are taking his DD (14) and DS (11) along with my Twin boys (6) on a week's holiday at the end of August. We don't want to go camping or Butlins, but are considering CenterParcs Europe (driving). Our budget is £400 - £500 per person all in. We want plenty of activities catering for all ages (which is why we're looking at CenterParcs), but I feel like I'm going round in circles trying to find something that satisfies everyone Grin.

Please help!

I know you've said no camping but some of the camp sites have lodges / caravans which are almost the same quality as Centeparcs but MUCH cheaper. All the activities at CP tend to be very expensive too. We've camped at Le Tedey in France (a long way down, near Bordeaux so probably not a good idea for a week on this particular site) which has lodges on offer. A great site with loads to do (daily activities for the younger ones, beach volleyball / competitions etc for the older ones, bar with entertainment on an evening / take away food etc) on the edge of a lake (perfect for swimming and playing) and only 2 miles from the coast. We took kids from 8 up to age 19 and no one got bored. Finding something similar might leave you with enough in the budget to really enjoy yourselves while you're there.
Good luck - holidays are hard enough with everyone's expectations of perfection!
