Which is better? Two adults wanting a chilled out relaxing week in October. Only thing that is a must is sunshine!

We've been to Tenerife in October about 5 times. It's generally mid twenties and fine for sun bathing, can have the odd shower but nothing too bad.

We had a lovely, chilled out holiday in CV. It wasn't windy in August. You tan even when it's cloudy, as it's close to the equator.

Well unfortunately Barbados has been ruled out 😢 going to have a look at Morocco

Barbados is the closest island, so shortest flight, often around 7.5 hrs. It’s doable. And worth it for the difference in weather! Preferably include the weekends too so 8/9 nights.

Essauoira is known for its micro climate : cool when everywhere else is not. Hence its name Windy City! I wouldn't recommend it if you are looking for sunshine . Great for other things.

It's not reflective of the rest of Morocco.

Sorry .... Morocco would be ideal in October
I had one of my coldest holiday in Morocco in August!!!! While packing, I just added a big jumper and DH teased me, and I am wearing it in almost all the pictures! On the Sidi Ifni beach ( and surrounded by rubbish), in Essaouira, at one point we were so cold all the time, we cut the coast trip short to spend more time in Marrakesh just to get some warmth.
So don't be so sure about being warm in Morocco.

Sugar Bay near Bridgetown, on the south coast. Have been before. Really lovely people.

Think Barbados is a nine hour flight so maybe a bit much just for a week although it does sound gorgeous

@Chewbecca I WISH I could stretch to Barbados!!!! It's only for a week too so don't want to spend hours and hours travelling

CV can be hot but overcast

You looked at Morocco? Maybe too hot in the summer ?

Cape Verde will be hotter but further to fly. Nothing to see or do there though, as long as you're happy to eat/sleep/sunbathe...

Funny enough I have been looking at either Tenerife, Cape Verde Sal or Barbados for winter sun.

CV is 2 more hours of flying than Tenerife and Barbados another 2.
However, Barbados has guaranteed high temps, CV high but apparently v windy and Tenerife more hit and miss with good temps.

Can you stretch to Barbados?
