Hi jema, I've been to Port Zelande with my DH, two DSs a friend and her DD. The three children were about 3, 6 and 10 at when we travelled about 3 years ago. It was still a Gran Dorado parc at the time. We have also stayed at CenterParcs in Belgium (de Vossermeren) and in the UK (Longleat twice and Elveden)so I can compare! I have to agree with Jemima - Port Zelande is quite an old resort and hadn't been updated to the same standard as CenterParcs. However, it was much cheaper and of course now that it has been taken over by CenterParcs things can only have improved. Having said all that I had NO complaints at all about the standard of our Villa (we had a Childrens Villa) and it backed some beautiful sand dunes where the children played for hours. The port was really nice to walk around and lust after the magnificent array of yachts. The youger two children used the kids club for one session which seemed well run. Overall though, the range of facilities was not nearly as extensive as at CenterParcs. I don't remember the pool too well but I think it was pretty nice. We had a great weekend but it was a much longer drive from the Eurotunnel than specified in the Cresta brochure and I don't think I would bother to go again. I DO, however, thoroughly recommend de Vossermeren CenterParcs in Belgium if you can afford the extra cost and don't mind being inland rather than on the coast. If you want the coast we had a great holiday at Belle Dune which is a Pierre & Vacances coastal resort in Normandy Hope this helps.

Hi,

Probably not going to be much help to you but we stayed at the Zandvoort one a few years ago when it was Grand Dorado and it was awful - nothing like Center Parcs standards. However, I know someone who went to a Holland Center Parcs last week and said it was better than the English ones. I'll see if I can find out which she went to.
