Car seats on flights

We're flying Singapore Airlines to NZ - each time I speak to them they give me different critera for car seats. Most recent is anything goes (apart from rear facing) as long as they're not foam rubber. Prior to this I was quoted British Standard numbers etc. Because of e-tickets your don't get old fashioned confirmation itinerary. We're planning on taking our two Maxi Cosi Priori's for DS - 2 and DD 9 months - has anyone else done this and how was it?

We are flying singapore airlines through to aus ( in 13 weeks) and I intend taking dd's britax car seat on board for her to be seated in ....did see last time we flew someone who took on a graco baby seat - you know the carry ones and there was no problem. When are you flying?!?!

Have flown with several airlines which quote that seats must be to the US standards, but no-one has ever questioned our euro-standard one, or even checked to see if it has the US standard markings.

Find someone who says either "Anything" or at least your makes of seats are "ok" on the phone, and then get ask them to put that in writing in a letter to you. Take letter with you to airport and they won't be able to give you any grief.
This is what cyclists do when we want to take our bikes.
