Weather in South of France?

We are talking South France here...

Or do I need rain coats/umpers etc?

I don't know about the pollen count, but htey are warning anyone with respiratory problems such as asthma, to avoid towns and low lying areas because of the appalling air quality in some of the cities on the south coast.

i was there this time last year
didnt notice mossies and they usually like me
but the intense heat gave rise to massive thunder storms so bring the closed toe shoes just in case!!

Is there a high pollen colunt in this area? 'Scuse my lack of knowledge but dd suffers quite badly from hay fever and always assume there is. Also is it bad for misquitoes, cos they luuuuuuuuuuuuuve me!

My car was reading 35° today and it does feel cooler than yesterday. When I went to bed last night, the outside shaded thermometer was still reading 28°.

Have just seen a very young baby on the beach, no hat, no shade, no cream and mother roasting to a turn next to him.

My dd got melted bloody chewing gum all over her legs and bum, mixed with sand and suncream, which I only discovered afterwards when putting her in her car seat.

There is a cannicule alert in the south east of France, - 40° in the shade predicted this weekend. Very high pollution and monoxide emission alerts with possible restraints on traffic.....

So yes, twill be bloody hot.

Friend picked up her car at Carcassonne airport yesterday(where we're going tomorrow) and temp was 41!
