aeroplane sky cots - quick question

Are you expected to bring bedding with you? Should I take a sheet for the mattress and a blanket?

When we were on Malaysian they wouldn't allow any children on the floor either. It is a safety regulation. I think most sky cots have a weight restriction as well as length (9kg if I recall correctly?).

Singapore had blanket but dd was better off in her growbag if you can manage to get it on with all the other carry on you end up with.

Singapore won't let you put your child to sleep on the floor we tried dd wanted to sleep on the floor nor will they let you sit them in it as there is a 'danger' in them falling out. We actually clipped it in and out when not physically in use so that it didn't disturb our leg room so much.

Yes, take your own bedding, preferably already slept in so it smells familiar.
Just take two small flat sheets.

Definitely take a sheet. They can be a bit past their best. Also, be prepared for them to be pretty small. DD (then 8 months) was too big for hers on a Delta flight. She sat in hers and we stored all the toys and books in it.

Singapore provided a sheet and a blanket but as dd1 slept in sleeping bags we really did not need any of it. You might like to take a light blanket of their own - have their smell on it and be familiar.

When we flew with Malaysia Airlines we had a skycot but found it was too small for our then 17mth DS. It also took up a lot of leg room. We just put him on the floor in the end .

They do provide sheets and blankets.
