Having just returned from Majorca,im pining another holiday(greedy i know Wink) I'd prefer shorthaul,5 hours max as have 3 young children. we thought we'd go sometime between October this year and Feb '12 as our youngest turns 2 in Feb so may aswell get him free again. Any reccomendations on where to go that is still warm but not red hot(kids are fair skinned) Tia

Playa blanca in lanzarote is nice - really family friendly. We were there the first week in November last year and it was sunbathing weather every day. We had a great time :)

We have booked Tenerife for October after going there last year at that time. Weather was perfect for us low to mid twenties so plenty hot enough to lie outside but not too uncomfortable to do anything.

Ibiza won't be hot in autumn/winter. By the end of sept the temp will drop dramatically, friends went in october half term last year, it rained 5 days out of 7, and when you have small children there isn't much to do in Ibiza in the rain.

Canaries will be warm, although perhaps not "hot" Tenerife/Lanzarote.

Dubai would be hot.

I've been looking into the same thing, my son will be 22 months by then! I've been looking (briefly) into the following:
Portinatx in Northern Ibiza or Madeira

... I'll be looking on in interest at what others suggest!
