I see that the Blairs have returned from sunny Mexico to holiday in Cornwall.

Does anyone know this child friendly hotel they are at? Never seen it mentioned on our threads, Carlyon Bay. Anyone been?

Sorry, not unfriendly holiday stories. An extremely friendly one though - Mark Warner Paleros (Greece). Absolutely fabulous. First holiday since having a child where I actually felt like I'd had a holiday.

Oh no Page!!

I know the indoor play area, we were in it last month, great find for the rainy days! Well I can recommend Fowey Hall if you want to go back to that area.

I read in one of the weekend papers/magazines about Knoll House hotel, Studland, Dorset (anyone been) didnt like the 'serving of breakfast between 8-8.45am'. What a teeny window to get you and your children breakfasted in! What do you do with screaming, hungry children between the dark hours of wake up and 8am!?

Anyone got any baby-unfriendly holiday stories?

Yes went there last year in the second week in July. Heard about it thru the Family Welcome Guide by Jill Foster and Malcolm Hamer. has it's own golf course and rates its resturant very highly. Would not recommend it certainly for infants / toddlers. describes itself as family friendly but children's play area not open as 'not school holidays'.offers children's meals but their ability to puree food was so poor that after the second attempt we reverted to jars and packets. Hope the Blairs have better luck for Leo !! The food for adults was pretenious and also poor - cold, undercooked spring to mind. However its a great part of Cornwall with Heligan and the Eden project very close by. There's also a fantastic indoor play area in St Austell a mile or so way (can't remember the name, but there are brown signs for it) which is free for the under 2's and has a reasonable tea bar.
