Maintenance Loan

Does my daughter have to apply for her maintenance loan every year? When us the deadline date?

She only needs household income for the maintenance loan if household
Income is under £65k ish. Otherwise she doesn't as she won't be entitled to the full amount. Everyone gets a fee loan regardless of income.

Just had similar Cake. I wondered why daughter was asking when my forms went in... I did them last week when she asked me, so it seems there might be quite a few not quite on time. Tbf they did originally say she should submit forms without parental income as this is post grad and she is working, and then she, or they, changed the advice.

I'm not about parental income because I am way past that age but just wanted to reassure you I didn't apply by the 'deadline' I applied mid June and just received my award notice.

Oh no! Last month?! She said nothing. Isn't parental income required again for both tuition and maintenance loans because she has not asked me for this info

Yes - if she's a returning student, she should have had a reminder several weeks ago, I think and if she's a new applicant, there is a section about it on the UCAS website.

The deadline for being guaranteed the payments in time for the start of first year was in May and for returning students, sometime last month. However, an application can be made at any time up to nine months up to nine months from the start of the academic year.
