How can DD find someone to take on her room in accommodation?

For several reasons, DD doesn't need her room in her uni accommodation anymore, but has to find someone else to take on her contract. How can she find someone? She has already posted on the student room but would like to try other places.

When I had to find someone to take my room I just put up an advert on the su noticeboard. It was twenty years ago, but I bet it would still work now. People are often moving around at uni

my daughters Uni has facebook groups for the different departments, most room swaps seem to take place on them.

My son found the Freshers facebook group for the year was the best place to find people who were looking for accommodation.

Universities usually have an Accommodation Office. Go and see them because there might be a waiting list for a room. However if it’s a private hall, talk to the manager as well.

There are usually a number of students looking to change accommodation. There should be a place at the SU or university where people looking for alternative
accommodation go so it would be worth speaking to them.
