Any advice on which air fryer to purchase please

Looking at getting an air fryer, for a family of 4 any recommendations please.

Ninja does look good, but so expensive. Not sure if it is in my budget. Trying to get one just under £100.

If you can't afford a Ninja I got the tower one with racks and rotisserie. I live one but don't have an oven so this enables me to cook a full meal. It was about £65. I've cooked all sorts including my Christmas dinner in it. I've not used the rotisserie yet as I'm pescatarian and can't think what I'd put on it!

I've had three different brands over the years including a very expensive top of the range Philips one that I hated.
Stand out best I've ever had is the Gourmia air fryer. We bought ours from Costco for £54.99 but think it's available elsewhere for about £5 more. It produces amazing results every time, fab for roasting veg as side dish or for soups etc.

The Ninja Foodi is worth every penny and will save you money cooking. For example, my gas fan oven will take 20 minutes to cook after warming up, my Ninja does it in 9 minutes.

If you're not getting the ninja then just get whatever is a real brand (not an Amazon made in China dropshipped brand) with the biggest basket you can afford.
Things like clubcard points can be good to put towards things like this.

We have the tower oven one,it’s brilliant!
I rarely use the oven now,cooks everything so much quicker,we paid £115 for it.

I have 2, the tower one with shelves and rotisserie in our caravan and a classic pull out drawer one at home live both and are constantly in use.

I bought the Costco Gourmia one linked above last week (£47.99 in the warehouse). Still getting used to it but so far so good!
@Elasmotherium do you use the different pre-sets or just air fry? The manual doesn't give much info on timings so never sure how long / which setting to cook things on.

Another one who's just bought the Gourmia airfryer from Costco. We've had it a week and cooked gratin potatoes, hash browns, bacon, pizza, spare ribs, spring rolls (didn't realise we ate so much crap 
). All turned out well, but realised that things take about a third less time in the airfryer than in the oven. And it heats to cooking temperature really quickly.
LittleFriendSusan, we used the 'bacon' setting 
, and the veg setting but mostly just the air fry setting and plus or minus the time and temperature.

I have this cosori one. Not a brand I’d heard of but apparently popular in America. There’s someone on YouTube who has an airfyer channel and this is her favourite one which swung it for me. I love it. here

@Crowdfundingforcake New to the idea of a air fryer. Can you only cook one item at a time, how would you cook chips and chicken goujons for example at the same time for a family ??

There's a metal rack with our fryer so you can cook 'double decker'........

You are only limited by size, just think of it as a mini oven.

There's an article on air fryers on the guardian website. The conclusion is they are good for small quantities, if you need to put it on twice just use the oven - it doesn't fry it bakes

We have the tower 10-in-1 and I love it so much, hardly use the oven now as it does everything in so much less time and it tastes even better. 100% recommend.

Oh and just to say I keep mine in a cupboard, but when I first got it I left it out and tried to cook everything in it first. But there is only two of us occasionally three, I don't think I would have used it as much when my children where at home.

i had stayed faithful to the large Phillips for years, but I loved the look of the Ninja duo and just about bought it…until a week ago I got the Ninja Foodi Grill and air fryer AG551UK.
it is RIDICULOUSLY easy to clean and I’d never look back at a drawer air fryer again. no way. It’s quite big, but I can certainly fit more food in it, and the temperature gauge thing is really clever!
