Do they sell them in the UK? Often on American dramas I see them making lots of little pancakes in one go on a plug in electric thing and wondered if there was something similar in Uk specifically for little pancakes/drop sones/ welsh cakes. Does anyone have any of these? I hate standing for ages over a frying pan and would like to do a load at once!

We have one (xmas pressie from in-laws). We use it for American style pancakes. That's it. We don't have them that often. It's great when we do but rest of time it takes up storage space. Not at all minimalist. Great to have a few times a year.(SIL wanted one for use as a hotplate but since our DC were toddlers not the sort of thing we wanted on a table with little hands. Not sure if she ever uses hers now). Hope that helps.

I have just been looking at something like this: www.amazon.co.uk/Andrew-James-Electric-Griddle-Plate/dp/B004OD834Y/ref=pd_sim_sbs_kh_3

It is only about 14 inches across, but I seem to make panckaes pretty quick on it.

MM that does not go with your minimalist lifestyle does it?
anyway to answer your question I'm not sure, but I have a large griddle pan to make pancakes, it is easier than a frying pan becuase it doesn't have sides.
