Legal Trainer (Civil & Criminal Litigation)

Location: Home based with regular travel to London Whitechapel
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Contract: Full Time, Part Time & Freelance positions available

You are a qualified barrister or Solicitor who loves sharing your legal Civil & Criminal knowledge with others, and you are looking for a new challenge either on a full time, part time or freelance basis.

You are a legal practitioner who comes from a criminal or general civil/commercial background where you have developed a strong track-record of conducting your own advocacy in proceedings.

We are particularly keen to hear from those with prior experience of lecturing and/or training.

Reporting to the Director of Training & Delivery, you will be responsible for delivering our market-leading legal training courses (both virtually and face-to-face) to non-lawyer clients across a broad range of disciplines with a focus on Civil and Criminal Litigation.

In addition to delivering training, you will be expected to assist our existing subject matter expert trainers in the review, updating and development of new courses.

You will be required to travel on a regular basis. The role will be based out of our Whitechapel office in the heart of London. However, flexible home working is permitted.

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.

We are looking for those practitioners who come from a criminal or general civil/commercial background where you have developed a strong track-record of conducting your own advocacy in proceedings.

We are looking for people who meet the following criteria:


A solicitor or barrister with extensive pqe.

Experience in either criminal or general civil/commercial practice required. All candidates must be able to demonstrate a track-record of conducting their own advocacy in proceedings.

Enthusiasm in passing on their knowledge to others.

Prior experience of delivering training is desirable but not essential.

First class communication and interpersonal skills.

Team player: Confident and able to liaise with people at all levels.

Ability to represent and project Bond Solon in a highly professional manner.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Ability to work well under pressure and to manage and prioritise a busy workload.

Meticulous, with a rigorous attention to detail and procedure.

Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.

Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Proficient in the use of virtual platforms (Teams, Zoom etc.)
