We are looking to recruit a full time Bookkeeper....
• Location: Cheadle Hulme, SK8 6QL, close to Manchester
• Job type: Full Time/Permanent
• Hours: 37.5 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced bookkeeper to join Think Ambient, a busy sales and marketing company. You will join a professional and highly respected team where hard work and commitment are rewarded.
The role is initially office based but there is some flexibility on start and finish time. Some work from home is available after completion of initial probation period.

Your role and responsibilities:
• Preparation of VAT returns
• Bank Reconciliations
• Maintaining Sales/Purchase ledger
• Taking accounts up to trial balance
• Communicating effectively with HMRC
• Responding professionally and promptly to client queries
• Multi - currency accounts to balance.
• Expenses
• Monthly payroll co-ordination with outside bureau
• Credit control
• Credit card payments.

• Ideally AAT qualified
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role

You will be expected to demonstrate:
• A good working knowledge of XERO
• A good knowledge of VAT and the ability to apply VAT rules and regulations
• Competency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
• Able to work well under pressure, manage and prioritise time and workload efficiently and effectively.

In addition:
• Hold a clean UK driving licence and access to a car
• Be able to work well within a team
• Committed to your own professional development and a willingness to adapt as the department grows
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and with clients
• Work to deadlines
• Attention to detail and excellent time management skills

£22,000 to £28,000, dependent on experience
