Really interesting podcast about an ‘incel’ who killed a number of people by driving on a pavement.

What I found really interesting is that he said he was an incel and he did this for the incel ‘cause’ but the judge decided that he wasn’t an incel.

He identified as an incel and the judge disagreed? I thought we are all what we say we are now. Specially the men.

The psychiatrist and judges comments start at about 30 minutes. They decided he was using the incel movement to gain noteriety, even though he had been messaging with a famous incel killer.

It just seemed so odd that although he said he was an incel, posted on incel forums and had communicated with notorious incels someone else can decide he isn’t really an incel. It’s not like he claimed to have a diagnosable psychiatric problem and it turned out he didn’t.
If he had done this saying he was doing it as a member of a faith group, would they have decided that he wasn’t really.

So often when men commit violence against women, lots of men claim it to be "random", "isolated incident" or "unexpected". It is only those things in their perception because they repeatedly ignore trends and warning signs.
