but in a life-threatening assault, I did not freeze as is often reported, my head went into over-drive, I deployed NVDA (Non-Violent Direct Action) techniques, refused to give him distress, became a dead weight with the attitude "He might be able to take it but I'll be damned if he would think it was given..." I in fact risked my life i in fact figured out how to say "NO" without saying NO and uttered in dullest monotone "I dont want this to happen, I dont want this to happen, I dont want this to happen..." and it took me 30 years to understand that in fact my 18yo self had taught a man consent while he was raping me...but I was never ashamed... of the most heroic act of my life." [Worse was to follow 14 yrs later...

Please don't be sorry because that chap probably did learn his lesson and my GP said he probably did think that was normal and may have done exactly that a number of times. In fact the #MeToo 14 years later to my teaching colleagues to warn of #RapeinSchools was far far worse. This guy was decent compared to a headmaster who played every malicious, cynical game, a form of professional crucifixion. @TabbyStar thank you and yes I did have the mamogram problem. I spent about 3 years without any access to any NHS care during the Mixed ward era (which never ended). Attached what this daughter and granddaughter of doctors has to do in order to access the NHS.... following all the times I didnt and after I was forced by the sequence of stupidities they do without thinking.

Thank you for sharing this, Clare was the woman who was identified as transphobic because she asked whether the staff undertaking her mammogram would be female. Good for her for speaking out, and sorry she experienced this.
