Any real spiritual person will not be operating a business selling spiritual enlightenment / powers / items. Paying money for supernatural items and supernaturally themed training courses (online or IRL) will end up with you being on a sucker list
Re 4 - the person selling supernatural items or educational / empowerment courses may be well meaning. However even if they are a good person their customer data will be of interest to criminals who will likely find a way to access it
I remember discussing the use of supernatural threats in relation to sex trafficking with a former cop who is an expert in the grooming and sex trafficking of vulnerable women of West African descent via the use of supernatural threats.
The expert opinied that women would never fall for these kinds of threats in the UK.

Shaming into compliance and conformity
@ 00:05:42 Winnet describes an event early in a contropreneur event in which participants who do not raise their hand, in answer to the question “who wants more money?” are embarrassed into subsequent enthusiastic hand raising by singling them out and shaming them. This manipulation of compliance by group shaming is a common feature of cults in general and LGATs in particular. There is more to add about the issue of social compliance / conformity and cults but I do not want to digress too far from the video.
The Bullshit Backstory
This is one of the most important indicators of contropreneurs and new age grifters in my experience. It also serves to act as a shield to prevent and deflect criticism if the backstory involved real or false claims of victimhood.
When the promise on offer is of wealth / riches the backstory will involve history of poverty, disadvantage and oppression.
When the promise is of empowerment and personal development, especially in relation to trauma (as is often the case) the backstory will typically involve history adverse life experiences including of horrific child abuse. Such histories may be true, partially true or entirely fabricated for the purposes of the grift. Such backstories serve to deflect critical / skeptical appraisal of the grift/er. The extremely ruthless actors at the top of the pyramid typically recruit vulnerable people with histories of child sexual abuse, addictions, serious mental health problems and then brainwash them and exploit them to commit crimes.
They also recruit people who have suffered multi-generational oppression and state servants, including law enforcement officers, who have suffered vicarious trauma in the course of their work. These sinister actors use new age and supernatural themed therapies, especially body / somatic psychotherapy in order to groom, recruit and manipulate state servants. This is an extremely important and sensitive issue that I will write more about later.

Danyal Hussein was a member of a web forum, run by an American self-styled black magician, whose instructions about demonic pacts mirror steps taken by the killer.
The American has encouraged murder in some of his writings, including for a violent Satanic group that’s been cited as an influence on seven young men convicted of neo-Nazi terror offences in the UK over the past two years.

I highly recommend the videos below that were created by a woman with an in depth knowlegde of EA Koetting and who took the time to read his books. The woman who made the videos knows a lot more about EA Koetting, than I do (I had never heard of him prior to the BBC article) however I have been researching other, similar, actors for some years and will post soon with some information that readers may find useful in terms of indicators / themes that may be helpful in terms of identifying these kinds of predatory criminals

These are not the only possibilities.
As someone who researches cults I feel it is important that people understand that there are multiple networks on the dark web and even on the plain old www that use supernatural themes, including magic / magick to groom, recruit and manipulate vulnerable adults into committing terrible crimes.
Many of these cults are extremely misogynist, many are involved in sex and labour trafficking and other serious crimes.
One of the most important issues to understand regarding Hussein's motives, IMO, is whether he acted alone or whether he was groomed, recruited and exploited by a criminal network.
I feel somewhat despairing when I read about the alleged "satanic" elements of thes appalling murders. I do not believe it is helpful to label such a crime as "satanic" unless one has evidence of such.
Clearly there is evidence of Hussein being involved with what he believes to be supernarural beings (demons) however this does not necessarly indicate that his actions were satanic, unless one uses a very broad and unhelpful defenition of the term.
I would sugges that any readers who wish to help the police to learn more about Hussein's contacts on the dark web (obvioulsy this is centrally important to discovering his motives and protecting other women from violence and murder) may wish to campaign for the privacy laws preventing the police from accessing Hussein's online activity to be repealed in or overturned in serous circumstances such as this.

Of course privacy is important, so are human rights. Unfortunately both privacy and human rights legislation can be abused by criminals and there needs to be a balance.
It is outrageous that a situation can occur whereby, in the wake of unspeakably terrible crimes like the murders of Bibaa Henry and Nicole Smallman, the police's investigations are hindered severely by privacy laws protecting the perpetrator and his associates.
I'm not in the UK, but is there any momentum there to protest that this atrocity is an example of why misogyny should be a hate crime? He was clearly targeting women.
I owe PatricksRum and BMN big time, because I found out about the deaths of Nicole and Bibaa through them. I don't know what's more horrifying, the reason they were killed or the way the police handled their bodies. Took photos with them. Even in death they had no peace.
Their mother, who is a C of E deacon btw, identified the response as racist & classist. She is very articulate (as you’d expect from a vicar!).
She is amazing, actually. So measured and thoughtful as well as being incredibly articulate. That poor, poor woman - I can't begin to imagine what she has been through with losing two daughters in such horrific circumstances and having to deal with the police failures on top of all of that.

It defies belief that the police were so slow to react and that boyfriend of younger sister found the bodies. And that the policemen who were 'guarding' them took photos and haven't been sacked. It's entirely feasible that this person might have gone on to commit other murders.

Mina Smallman who is the mother of Bibaa and Nicole was talking about the case on Radio 4. It really struck me how amazingly brave and inspirational she is. She sounds so strong and articulate. I have the upmost admiration for this woman after all she has been through, she is awesome.

this was discussed by some friends tonight and one woman had heard it reported that he had schizophrenia, I've just looked at the report in the guardian, but no mention of it there. I think it is relevant to have the background reported, apparently he was 'radicalised' on the dark web, and was referred to Prevent.
I'm so uncomfortable with the way the reasons for crimes like this are reported.

It feels as if it validates the reasons. Isn't that why anyone gives a reason for a crime, to mitigate it somehow? I think a line gets crossed often with the murder of women, but perhaps we're desensitised to it all.
While a guilty verdict is a comfort, the background detail is simply beyond belief - somehow almost worse than when we knew nothing as to why. Those poor women.
