Hello,
I am an exercise newbie, and looking for advice.
I would like to get fitter, I am thinking some kind of strength training (weights).
I am not sure where to start! I have bought some 1.5kg weights, but I am unsure how to approach this, as I have had previous back issues (my back used to ‘go’ quite a bit), sciatica (its been two years, and the twinges are just about stopped) and I am on top of everything, not very fit, flexible or strong. I have a few kids so ‘down there’ is ok, but am nervous of jumping etc!
I am looking into Pilates for flexibility, but can anyone recommend any websites or videos for people like me, with my issues?
Want to strengthen and prevent muscle loss, and maintain bone density etc. I walk about an hour a day in total most days (school run!) but that is about it :( and I think it’s ok for base level fitness but definitely not enough.
Would appreciate any pointers
