That's about the size of it really. There's not much difference in price for the ones I'm looking at. Anyone have any personal experience that might help me decide?

Running on a treadmill bores me silly so for me I got a buggy I could run with (not a running specific one) and used that for walks, runs, prams in the park sessions and as our everyday buggy - more than paid for itself.

Running buggy much better - once they're older, you can run to the interesting parks further away for them to play, or run with other people, or at a parkrun. Also running on a treadmill can increase risk of certain types of injuries and can have less benefit to certain aspects of fitness (due to the extreme repetitiveness of the action - you stress some parts of your body more whilst also providing no strengthening to your foot as you deal with uneven terrain.) Of course that is only likely relevant if you're doing almost all your running on the treadmill, and even then you'd still get lots of benefits from the exercise.

Certainly make sure you know you are happy running inside, staring at a wall, before buying a treadmill.

Thanks for your response. Sadly, DD is quite a light sleeper, but even so I think a treadmill might be the way to go.

We have both! On maternity leave I used the treadmill every day whilst baby napped but was still too young for the running buggy. Running buggy has been great but I find it unnatural to run with and much prefer running to be my 'me time'. As the kids have got older and out grown the running buggy I've continued to use the treadmill for training when they're in bed on a night and I can't get out, or it's dark and icy and I wouldn't fancy s run outside anyway. So in the longer term our treadmill has been the better investment. That said if you asked my DH he'd say running buggy, he hated the treadmill and barely used it but ran with the kids in the buggy loads! Personal preference really...i found I'd rather do long walks with our ordinary pushchair or kids in the back pack and then run on my own (either outdoors if I got the chance or on the treadmill) but I was really lucky mine napped well so I could easily do 60 mins on the treadmill whilst they stepped in the cot in the same room!
