At home insemination help!

Just trying this for the first time this month!

However whenever I inseminate (using a needleless syringe and collecting fresh sample from a pot). I put the syringe in, wait 30 seconds then slowly push the plunger, wait 30 seconds then remove the syringe slowly it feels like all of the sperm then leaks out! Sorry if TMI!

Is this normal?! Worried it now won't work and I've messed it up!

I waited 10 mins after the sample was collected for it to liquidfy a bit.

Wishing you lots of luck 🤞 we didn't have joy but that was down to other underlying issues rather than the process. Hopfully will start trying again in the next few weeks.

@moo8879 thanks for replying :). I did it 3 times in my window and am now in my TWW - 3dpo so got a while to wait! I used 5ml syringes in the end.

@H8624 we have used countless different apparatus, 5ml syringes, 10ml syringes, stork kits, soft discs you name it. Try not to over think it, it only takes one and as long as you are not damaging the sperm then you can use anything. The 'leaked' stuff is normally just seminal fluid and the good stuff has already gotten where it needs to go. Menstrual cups help keep it up there but just a few minutes with your legs up will do. When you inseminated did you use a really long syringe? Mine is a 5ml one but not that long so should I get one that's longer?

happened to me and I got pregnant first time, I think it's very normal. Some people insert a menstrual cup right after doing the insemination to keep it all inside
