Evening,
DH has just tested positive today after having COVID approx 2-3 months ago. He's clinically vulnerable / entitled to a booster which he's booked in for in a couple of weeks.
Does he still go ahead? I guess it would be pretty bad luck to get it a third time.

In my gcse science text book it says you'll be immune now

I suppose I'm asking if the vaccine is for the variant he's probably had and therefore is it worth waiting a while.

If he is vulnerable, the booster is recommended. It is expected a new variant will be along soon enough, clearly he is not one of those lucky people who do not catch it.
What is the downside to having the vaccine?

I think you have to wait 28 days after a positive test to have a booster now.
