Hi all,
Woke up with chills/sweats/itchy legs/tingling in my fingers early hours of Monday morning.
Woke up properly around 10am and was completely floored...worst headache ever, temperature, body hurt and skin was sore...and very spaced out and wobbly on my feet. Took a test and was negative...slept most of the day and sent DD to stay at her dad's, because I could barely lift my head...took another test last night when my temperature hit 41 and sure enough big fat positive.
Was struggling to walk the 16 steps to the bathroom last night, but this morning I feel (comparatively) loads better. Temperature has gone right down and my body is tired, but not hurting...the headache from hell has gone and can walk to the loo without feeling like I'm going to pass out.
Tested positive again this morning, but am I right to think that that was the worst of it? Or am I lulling myself into a false sense of security?
Anyone experienced 24hr hellish symptoms and then that was it?
This is my first time with Covid (was beginning to think I was super immune!) so any pointers as to what to expect and what helps would be very much appreciated.
For anyone reading, I found filling hot water bottles with cold water from the fridge and using them as a pillow really comforting.
Thanks in advance.
