So shutting down everything but keeping schools open.AIBU to think that a lockdown should involve schools closing as well.Have been about six cases in my dds secondary zero social distancing and is just defeating the object of a lockdown as it has now been proven that schools,colleges etc can easily spread the virus.

We are 275 per year group but in a new(ish) purpose built school, not old buildings that have been added to.

No, unless you are happy for a lots of women to probably lose their jobs as someone needs to 'homeschool', and am sure employers will look at who is being most productive. I feel really angry that people who are either sahm parents or have jobs that allow ability to work flexibly from home dont care that it will throw hundreds of thousands into poverty / crisis if primary aged children are locked out of school. 1000 people applied for a waitering job, thats how bad things are in the job market already.
