Hi. I wanted to know how people are dealing with lower back pain. I feel like tin man who needs oiling now and then. My pain is triggered from lifting even shopping bags and tensing my back muscles and running errands. I'm a young mum so it's unavoidable. I have a massage pillow and am careful but sometimes feel hopeless about the future and my child is so small. Would I be able to run around her in the years to come?

Thank you all for you replies. I have had physio but nothing else. I have been managing the pain at home and so far it seems to work but I do feel like it's more often now. I'm also planning for a second baby so I'm a bit terrified how that might go with my back issues.
I will pick for an x ray but yeah things are so slow with the nhs.

I have two trapped nerves in my back from slipped discs. There is no back pain - just excruciating pain and numbness down front and back of leg and in my hip and foot. GP has put me on an opiate patch which works a bit and I top up with paracetamol. Referral to spinal surgeon in the pipeline - I have had to go private as the wait time here is 73 weeks !!!!!!!!!

Physio a dead loss - too painful to move it in any way.

You have all my sympathy.

Steer clear of osteopaths.

I find the Deep Freeze spray brilliant on my back and down my legs. I also take Pregabalin which helps massively.

Have you been to an osteopath? Or a physio? Do you do anything to combat it/strengthen the area, exercise, etc?

Hi did you have injury that set it off in the first place? Did you have X-ray to see if it’s caused by back pressing on certain point?
