Joint present for 2 and 7 year old boys

We have been given money to buy a joint present for our 2 boys, I know it's a big age gap but the 7 year old does play nicely with the little one and I'm sure it can be done. Any ideas? £50 budget, my thoughts were along the lines of hot wheels, scalectrix etc

My daughters are 8 and 2.5 and I’ve bought both of them Sylvanian Families stuff as they love playing that together. So is there some small world stuff that would appeal to both boys...maybe a big Playmobil set? Like a fire station or police station or something like that?

Oh playmobil is a fab idea! I don't know how I didn't think of that as 7 year old collects the space set, wpuld get something different for the pair of them to share though if we went with that though. Thank you! Any more ideas welcome 😊

Maybe brio trains? Tracks can be simple/complicated, as can the trains. Building the tracks and scenes together is very collaborative, and can add to it over the years. They’re aimed at young children but I’ve known older kids (and adults!) to really enjoy them

My DC get joint presents from DPILs every time they come over to this country to visit us. Presents that have been successful include:
Paddling pool
Marble run
Gigi Bloks
Keyboard
Wooden castle

Mine are 2 and 6. Joint presents that have been successful have been a wooden toy tree house and a large set of wooden blocks. This year they are getting a tent and a marble run jointly. Anything that is big enough or has enough pieces to both play at the same time should work- doll's house, castle, one of the Lego sets that is lots of different blocks.

My 9&6 year olds still love their Playmags, they were bought for them at 5&2.

Vote for clear coloured magnatiles here - great for all ages. My DS plays with them everyday after 1.5 years and they’re a hit with play dates!
