My 3 hybrids are being horrible to my two new girls, introduced last Wednesday. During the day the are ok in the run apart from the odd chase, but at dusk they guard the henhouse to stop the new ones roosting, and if they go in they get turfed out pdq . After dusk, when the original 3 have finally settled, the two new ones creep in. Should this have settled by now, and if not, how long do you think it might take? I am exhausted having to monitor bedtime every evening

That sounds relatively mild tbh, I have seen far worse treatment of newcomers (a friend had a new hen pecked to death ). It might take another week or two I reckon. And personally I wouldn't monitor bedtime unless you're having to intervene to make sure they actually go in at night.

Well I just went out to check and found the new ones outside huddled together in the dark because the pop hole had closed
