What can I feed 13 week old Bantams?

(other than growers pellets, obviously...)

I am the proud new owner of 3 bantam hens, who I picked up on Saturday. My parents had hens after I'd left home, so I've looked after them sporadically, but these are the first that are my own

I'm not sure what else to feed them though, to make life a bit more interesting? I know once they're laying they like loads of random stuff as treats, but not sure what to give these? I tried them on some cut up cherry tomato yesterday, which DM's hens fight over, but mine just ignored it with distain... and sunflower seeds don't get that good a reaction either!

Are there any suggestions of what might go down well, or should I just stick to pellets and grass (while they haven't eaten it all) until they're a bit older?

try different things. you wont know what they do and don't like until you try them on it. ours love elderberries, crocus's cooked pasta and loads of other things. give it go.

Mine love sweetcorn. Either on the cob or from a tin. I also gave them some left over melon recently which they sat around like ladies with cocktails, very funny!

Thank you all! I tried cooked pasta and sweetcorn, both went down an absolute storm - and even our super-shy millie was eating from my hand for the sweetcorn, was dead chuffed :)

(on a similar note... If a bantam happened to have eaten an BB gun pellet, because it was yellow and bloody LOOKED like corn, will it be ok?!)

Grapes, mine will kill for grapes! Spaghetti or noodles is good for a laugh too as mine run around the garden thinking they have a worm!
