Hi there

Thanks for asking this. Here's the basic process, so you know what we're up to at MNHQ:

We try to read the applications in the order they land (and wow: have they been landing Grin). We check em out thoroughly. We read through the about us section, the archives and any review policy, and we often ask follow-up qs. We do this so we know each member and so we build a network that promotes great writing, which is something everyone wants.

Then we send a welcome note and someone this end activates the blogger's profile on the site. We check the link and Twitter handle and blog descrip and then we add the blogger's feed to our landing page and directory. So the new blogger can just sit back while we do that.

We're letting in dozens of new members, so there can be a short delay between acceptance and the blog's appearance on our site. We're so sorry about that - but it's because we've had so many brilliant applications, and we want to reflect that quality in the network. And it's just a brief wait before we share you far and wide.

Thanks for that.

Yes, I was told that the next step is to activate my profile so I'll look forward to it!

I have only just received the 'thanks for registering' email. Guess that means I have a long wait ahead!

Hi there - we're chuffed you've applied and we'll get back to you this week (if we haven't already). Hang in there, and thanks again.
