2 year old nightmare bedtime

Hi everyone,

So we have recently started leaving my 27 month old awake to go to sleep - we spent months sitting on a chair waiting for her to go off and then creeping out (this was triggered by her started nursery)

We have to go back in anywhere from 2/5 times as she's demanding 'blanket, bunny, drink, the standard delay tactics!!

Problem is it's taking an hour sometimes more with her singing and chatting and then crying for her to eventually fall asleep and by then it's 9pm some nights!

She naps generally from 1/1.30 for 1.5 hours max.

Most nights wakes once and then wakes at 630/7 and we have a fro clock which she waits for.

She NEVER SEEMS TIRED. How can I bring her bedtime forward without affecting her up time?

Any tips gratefully received. Xxx

We went through this and basically had to crack it with a version of that thing you do with babies where you go in ever couple of minutes to say, you're safe, time for sleeping now, in a really bored way. No countenancing all the various things she was asking for. We really needed our evenings back and she needed her sleep

Have you thought about dropping the nap? My DD gave it up around that age and then was much more tired at bedtime sometimes
