Flora
Elle sounds incomplete to me, more like it should be a nickname

Flora- I know a couple of Flora's and they're lovely
Elle- nope, too common as in frequency

I like Elle, sounds like it would suit all the ages, Flora is nice but soumds quite 'little girlish' to me

Practice shouting the name (as you may do in the future across a playpark) and see if that helps you decide.

Flora is beautiful

Elle seems unfinished and there’s so many Ellie variations it just gets lost in those

Elle - sounds elegant, slight 90s vibe.

Flora - margarine.

Flora is classy and vintage. Elle is a bit ‘meh’

Depends where you're from...Flora is awful with a scouse accent, so I could never use it for my child. I love Elle its pretty and would grow with her

Elle is French for 'she'. It doesn't feel like a name to me, there's something insubstantial about it.

Flora is much nicer.

Elle. I am not a fan of frilly names and find Rs tricky to say so Flora would be a no from the outset. I really like Elle (and Ellen is one of my favourite girl names).

Flora makes me instantly think of bacteria and biology, "natural gut flora" etc. Just not a nice name to me and sounds frilly and just generally kinda a sickly vibe to it.
Again- FOR ME. Everyone will have their own associations with whatever name you choose.

Elle makes me think Elle McPherson so definitely a 90s vibe to it. That and the magazine. I like it though I do think it sounds like maybe it should be short for something- having said that there's plenty of Tilly's, Penny's, Teddy's, Ben's etc out there who don't have the traditional full name so it does still work as a name in its own right.

Is there a middle name in mind? Just thinking either name may work better with whatever middle name you pick.

Both Flora and Elle are nice names.
I prefer Elle and even better Ella, Ellinor or Eleanor.

Flora. Not keen on Elle but, helpfully, I’m not really sure why!
