Baby names

Leonardo or Max…or Luca

Getting close now, about 3 weeks to go still haven’t decided! I know I’ve posted a similar post a while back…
So I really like Leonardo and Max but love Luca. My OH really likes Max and Leonardo but is not fond of Luca. Last name is Winter.

Max

Max Winter is very evocative of Rebecca for me. As Leonardo is the name which you both seem to agree on both, I’d go with that.

Leonardo

I like Leonard but Leonardo can be Leo, Leonard or Lenny, and is a bit less run of the mill than Leo, or Max or Luca.

Thanks for all your comments! I’m Brazilian and it’s always Leonardo as opposed to only Leo. My husband is basically a self proclaimed greek and we both love Italy. Reckon it might be down to just two then…Max or Leonardo😊

My Brazilian friend has a Leo, and he's not Leonardo.

Max, unless you have some italian connection.

Second this.

You can't have a name that OH detests.
Luca sounds the worst with Winter anyway.

Max Winter - nice - 9/10
Leonardo Winter- okay - 8/10
Leonard Winter - the best - 10/10

What about Lucas rather than Luca?

Max is nice. Leonardo will probably in time be another Leo. I have never understood the attraction of the name Luca. The only one I know is a dog.

Max or Leo! Leonardo if you’re Italian. Not so keen on Luca, especially with your surname.

Max, with a middle name beginning with D 😁

I would go with Max though because while it’s very popular is isn’t so very of the minute as Leo and Luca, so it’ll date better.

I really like all and I think Luca Winter is fine. IRL I think people just say names and don’t over analyse the flow like we tend to on here!

I wonder if you’d like Lando as it has similar European feel

I like Luca but if your husband doesn’t then it’s not an option. Max Winter just sounds a bit like a product or a cartoon character. It’s not really something you can seriously name a child.

Which leaves leonardo. It’s nice, easy to say, easy to spell, Leo is a great nn. Definitely go for it.

Max. The other two are OK if you have Italian roots but I'm not keen with your surname

It’s Max De Winter in Rebecca….ignore me 😆

That was the first thing I thought of when I said each name out loud :) As long as they don't give Max the middle initial D I guess it would be okay lol

I like them all

Lovely choices

If I had to pick one I'd choose Max

My mind went to 'Rebecca' too.

Leo's are everywhere, Max's are everywhere, Luca's are almost everywhere.

Love love love Luca and I think it goes fine with your surname actually.

Leo is quite cool.

Max is a bit meh for me. It's also a very common dog name where I am (lots of working collies here with short names!)
