As part of a university project into mental health, we are focusing on ways of helping mothers with postnatal depression. We are looking for feedback about what people feel would be most helpful so we can develop our idea to be specific to those who are experiencing or have experienced postnatal depression. Thank you to anyone who can answer any of the questions – it is appreciated.

Our idea is to run sessions where mums have time to talk to psychologists about postnatal mental health, especially postnatal depression, as well as engaging in other activities while childcare is provided. Would you consider going to these sessions?

Would postnatal depression prevent you from attending?

What support do you feel you need/needed and what are the main things that would be helpful?

Which time of day would be the best for sessions to be run?

Is the childcare aspect while taking part in the sessions useful?

How often do you think the sessions should be run?

Have you accessed support from the NHS or other services? If so, what were these?

Do you feel like there is a lack of support for those with postnatal depression?

Im only 27 weeks but would be interested in helping out the NHS if it meant improving PND services
