I recently sold a baby carrier on Facebook marketplace.
It was £75 brand new, I advertised it for £50 and sold it for £40 plus postage. It was advertised as 'excellent condition'
The buyer has messaged me to say that she is happy with the carrier overall but has found a few stains on it and wondered if I knew what they were.
I hadn't noticed them before I sent the item so firstly I know I am BU to not have checked it more closely before I sent it.
I have messaged back apologising, I have suggested they must just be small mud marks and asked her to let me know if they don't wash out.
Attached the photos she sent me of the marks
My question is - if they don't wash out, what do you think would be a reasonable solution? I'm thinking offer a partial refund but unsure how much.
AIBU?

I think the problem you have is you have said its brand new, but yet its got mud marks on it. It could have only have had mud marks on it, if its been used?

No as it had literally been used once or twice, and I would expect people to wash items on receiving them (I know as a buyer I would always rather know I have washed them thoroughly myself)

Did you not wash it before sending?

Partial or full refund. It wasn’t in excellent condition.
