To be concerned Truss has torpedoed the term 'special relationship'?

I am not that mad on the US, happy to criticise them plenty, but I'm not thrilled Truss has criticised the term 'special relationship' and now apparently the US have said they won't use it any more.

I thought the 'special relationship' was something the government (either party) were proud of, why has Truss said this? She seems to stick her foot in her mouth quite a bit! Yes it was cheesy (and sometimes bollocks) but it was also quite useful at times. Truss has already had a bash at France. Is her aim to isolate the UK entirely??
