I took kids out from 8:45 to 9pm so he's enjoyed a whole day to himself. He got the hump when I asked if I could lie in tomorrow and he get up for them. Seriously annoyed. I'm now going to make sure I go out all friccin day!!

Sleep has become the most valuable currency in our house and probably the cause of most of the arguments me and my partner have.. I’ve been in the same situation as you. Let him know how exhausted you are having such an intense day yesterday with the children and could do with a little extra sleep. Whether or not you have the lie in or not, it would be nice if you could just have a couple of hours to yourself where he takes the responsibility of your children so you can have some down time too. I bet he already knows he’s being unreasonable about it but hopefully you get your chance to recharge too.

Don’t think asking for a lie in is unreasonable in the slightest but you taking the children out all day yesterday has no bearing on it if you chose to take them somewhere and he was never invited along. A bit different is he refused to go or was off doing something for his own enjoyment which necessitated you having to entertain the children alone all day.

Less asking more telling in this case.

He sounds like a dick. We take it in turns to be on baby duty. If I've had the baby all day and he's out, I get a lie in the next day and vice versa.

Why are you asking him instead of telling him?

Tell him of he wants to stay married then he needs to get up with the kids tomorrow and bring you a cuppa around 10/10.30 .. what a dickhead... I breastfeed our daughter though the night so my husband gets up with the kids at the weekend and brings me a cup of tea in bed ... if we are going out then he still gets up first then brings me a tea in bed and does the same if he's working from home in the week.. and so he bloody should, don't let anyone take you for granted!
