I’ve name changed for this. I am due in hospital tomorrow for a colposcopy because of periods being all over the place. Just decided to do a pregnancy test just to be on the safe side.
DH and I were told earlier this year it was very unlikely we could conceive due to my age and low AMH levels.
Was not expecting this. I’m not going nuts am I? Is this positive? Is there any way it could be wrong?
DH is at work & I can’t talk to him for a couple of hours. Am shaking.

Awww how lovely!! Congrats
irishfarmer · 01/12/2021 14:16
Congratulations!! Both are very very much so positive. Wonderful news after thinking you couldn't.
And don't worry about the martini/ glass of wine. Plenty of women drink before they realise they are pregnant.
Almostmenopausal · 01/12/2021 14:16
I looked at this and went "Err YEAH!" Very positive!!!
DontTellThemYourNamePike · 01/12/2021 14:16

I remember this feeling so well - OP, i had 15 miscarriages over 10 years and 2 years ago just before the pandemic DH and I finally threw in the towel and admitted to ourselves that it wouldnt happen for us. We had been told by the clinic that the chances of us ever having a viable pregnancy i could carry to term were basically impossible and we should stop trying for both our mental healths (no IVF either unfortunately due to the nature of my health issue that was causing all the miscarriages).
Anyway, lockdown boredom, a bottle of wine and a lack of decent stuff on Netflix later....
I only did the one pregnancy test and then had a massive bleed so thought that was that and it was another miscarriage.. I then felt really unwell a few weeks later so went to the Drs. They asked if i might be pregnant and I said no and explained the situation. Dr said just to be sure they'd do a pregnancy test again and BAM. Preggers.
I was still confused, so they sent me for a scan not knowing if this was a new pregnancy or if I hadn't actually lost the last one.. and it turned out I was 18 weeks pregnant with my now 8 month old
ALl babies are precious, but those babies that come to us against all odds are extra especially precious

We had reconciled ourselves to a life without kids. We were told we would need IVF to get pregnant.
Wow! That happened to us. My positive test is now in her third year at university.
Wishing you all the best, and many congratulations.
