Sick once, off for 48 hours?

My husband was sick once today after feeling queasy all morning. Has come home from work. AIBU to say he should now be off for 48 hours?

Ok I'm pushing the NHS advice on him. We have a 6 month baby at home so don't particularly want him around but I'd be livid if I worked with him, got it and gave it to my baby.

He has worked at his place for 18 years and has had one sick day when he fainted on the way to work. This is what I'm dealing with here.

My dds secondary school say 24 hours as apparently their hand washing is better than primary school children so no need to bother with 48 hours.

I work in an office - I’m 6 months pregnant and have had health complications. If he came back tomorrow I’d kick up a fuss about having to sit next to/interact with him.
NHS advice for adults and children is 48 hours from the last episode and frankly that is actually much shorter than it should be!

Depends on the job but if he feels better he should go in

He doesn't have the runs and he may have an idea if it was something he ate or drank.

Children is 48 hours because they are dirty little creatures who are more likely to sneeze over others and not wash their hands etc.

Although now I think about it that probably covers lots of people I know.

He needs to be in and away from people for 48 hours. There is a reason that’s the NHS advice.

personally for an adult I'd say 24 hours if quesiness is solved by vomiting and he does good hygiene and doesn't work anywhere with kids or vulnerable ppl.
