MBA - impossible?!

I'm looking for advice. WIBU to try to do an MBA part time when I have a toddler and a full time job?

Work would be paying for me to do this and I know it would be a huge commitment and put pressure on my home life, but I just don't feel like I can say no to this fantastic opportunity.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has done this.

I did this through work, it was a really great experience for me. I learned more than I had from anything else and genuinely changed my whole way of thinking.

The most important thing for my success was that there were a small group of us doing it together. When we had assignments, we would get together and talk about how to tackle the question, sometimes meeting up more than once. We kept the discussion going discussed until we each started to have formed out ides and started to disagree, at which point we all wrote up our own ideas.

Nowadays, there might be message boards, Facebook groups and google hangouts which mean yo7 can have the discussions without being in the same room a the same time. Find the right group of people and you will be fine. It is entirely possible, though you will need to be super organised, keep track of the assignments, allocate them time and then get them done in the time you have allocated.

All the best,

Yes, I did mine whilst in a full time job and with children (although they were old enough to know mummy couldn't be interrupted!). A great opportunity if work are paying. Just be very focused and chunk down what is needed into say hour long blocks that you can realistically manage. Good luck

Thanks Red - did you do one? Everyone just keeps telling me how awfully hard it is.

If you did, was it really 10-15hrs per week?
