to feel guilty for doing nothing today?

Lighthearted post!

We were out all day yesterday at an event! Walked miles, enjoyed the autumn sunshine, got home early evening.

Why do I feel guilty that today we’re mostly going to slob about. We’re out all week after all.

Anyone else feel guilty when they do this?

And the BEST thing is, Ds has no homework, none, on a Sunday! Winner! Grin

I didn't get outta bed till after 2:30pm Blush

Lazed about, leisurely bath, lazed about, washed up some brunch dishes, lazed about some more, made a quick tandoori marinade & chucked some bits of chicken in it then it lazed in the fridge whilst I lazed about yet more. Got up off sofa long enough to bung it in the oven and pop some rice on. Currently lazily contemplating chopping up some salad to go with. Then after we've eaten we're going to the cinema after we've eaten.

Lazy days are required now and again.

We've had a change in routine this past week, been out most of the week so had a lazy day today. My DS1 had two naps today and I joined him this afternoon! We all need downtime.

No guilt!

I actually get panicked that my nothing day is ending as I know work will be full on.

Enjoy Tor & Mrs C

I did pop out to do a small shop, pegged out and brought in the dried washing but apart from that nothing.

Just thinking what to have to eat. Ds and dp are on the Xbox!

Don't feel guilty. We are busy M-F then Saturday is spent running errands & visiting family so by Sunday we more often than not just can not be arsed to do anything.

We did plan a lie in & a walk but DH not feeling well so I whizzed round this morning, got the laundry done & have vegitated in from of the telly all day. Just put tea in the oven & once we've washed up we'll resume our spot on the sofa til bedtime ☺

We all need a chill out day to recharge our batteries for the week ahead. Enjoy 😎

It’s really important to have days like this. Enjoy! Your brain and body needs time to unwind and rest. Same for DC.

Do not feel guilty at all! I do sometimes feel a bit guilty having a lazy indoor Sunday if it's nice outside but if it's raining there is nothing nicer. I am doing the same as you today, I was out all day yesterday too so today I'm just lounging around at home, planning to do some baking later but that's about it. Have a lovely day. Smile

I feel no guilt! Sunday’s are often 'nothing' days here,. We all do our own nothing thing and ignore each other. Grin

I’m still in bed! I'm going to get up now and go stitch and only talk enough to demand a cup of tea then my headphones will go on and I won’t have to listen to anyone else.

I’ll join you in the guilt Grin there is a huge event on in town (Liverpool Giants if anyone is interested) and I really would like to go, but the crowds and the stress of the packed trains and buses has put me off so I’m watching the feed on Twitter from my front room

Lynne1, I was slobbing out so much I almost forgot the washing I’d put on earlier. I’ll go and peg out! Thanks for the reminder Grin

Have a lovely day!

I think it does you good to have a relaxing day at least once a week. All I've done today is 2 lots of washing, put it on the line., tidied the kitchen, then the GC came so I played Snakes & Ladders with them. They've gone now and I've got the rest of the day to do whatever I like - which is not much at all.

Grin I’m going to lap it up!

Might go for a brief walk to shake off the guilt. Hmm
