Without being bitchy about actual physical attributes, who looked great and who didn't quite make the grade?

I thought the bride's mother's outfit was lovely. Amal Clooney's yellow dress looked fab. Pippa Middleton's dress was v pretty. I liked Victoria beckham's too. Some lovely hats here:

But Eugenie and Beatrice bless them both seem to have gone for quite unflattering dresses in my personal opinion. They are young, slim, pretty, have lovely shiny hair and have an unlimited budget - how do they manage to get the dresses wrong?!

My new kitchen walls are the same colour as Amal Clooney’s dress

I’m so on trend it hurts

The woman who was with James blunt and uncle Spencer's young wife were notable for me. Names unknown I'm afraid.

Johnny Wilkinson and his pregnant wife also look amazing.

Must confess to knowing very few people, but thought the vast majority looked fabulous.

Only saw one dress which I wondered what the heck. Elton John looked his standard mess.

Loved what Serena Williams and Opera Winfrey was wearing, both got the colour, style and matching headwear, exactly right.

Idris Elba and Wife looked good together. Shame about Tom Hardy's shaved head.

It must have been hard to judge the weather in advance - Britain in may, you could get gorgeous hot sunshine or freezing cold rain!

Amal made everyone else look a bit second rate.

WeWere0nABreak · 19/05/2018 16:17

Idris Elba looked very hot indeed, i thought. James Blunt not bad either - I've always fancied him a bit Blush

Tom Hardy is filming something that requires no hair. It was that or a wig I suppose.

feltcarrot · 19/05/2018 16:18

Agree with Stripsocks, I thought James Blunts wife’s dress was gorgeous.

WickedLazy · 19/05/2018 16:18

I thought Eugenie and Beatrice looked good, those dresses were a big improvement for them, and I thought the hats were fab. I thought everyone generally looked brilliant, such a gorgeous and stylish wedding.

Birdsgottafly · 19/05/2018 16:18

Thought Kitty Spencer's dress didn't suit her, too old and not quite her. She might have been going for that look, though, with the stuff in the press hyping up how sexy she is.

Childrenofthesun · 19/05/2018 16:20

My favourite was the blue spotty one that one of the Suits actresses wore.

PleaseAndThanks · 19/05/2018 16:22

Eugenie and Beatrice aren’t what I would call... pretty. But I agree that their dresses were unflattering.

Oprah looked brill, Doria looked brill.

David beckham won though Blush

QueenOfThorns · 19/05/2018 16:22

I agree about James Blunt’s wife’s dress.

Does anyone know who the woman in blue was who arrived with the bridesmaids and pageboys? I thought her dress was lovely. I wasn’t sure whether she was the same person who was sitting directly in front of the bride’s mother?

Queenoftheblitz · 19/05/2018 16:23

Yeah Idis made my hoo ha throb a bit today.

Birdsgottafly · 19/05/2018 16:24

StripySocksAndDocs, I know, but, for me, he didn't provide eye candy, this time. Luckily Idris made up for it.

QueenOfTheAndals · 19/05/2018 16:25

I thought Beatrice looked good, the colour suited her well, but Eugenie's dress was not flatteringly cut and made me wonder if she was pregnant! Sophie Wessex looked lovely, as did her daughter.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 19/05/2018 16:26

Woman in Electric Blue was Jessica Mulrooney; brides bff.

WeWere0nABreak · 19/05/2018 16:27

Gina Torres looked fab, I thought (had to google her to see who she was as I don't watch "suits", but it's a pretty frock!).

Countess Spencer, Amal Clooney and Serena Williams were the standouts for me.

StripySocksAndDocs · 19/05/2018 16:27

Oh you meant a disgrace for eye candy? Thought you mean wedding protocol.

Didn't actually spot him. Though he's also doesn't please my eye that much any way

Birdsgottafly · 19/05/2018 16:27

Speaking of page boys, his face took center stage waiting to go into the Church.

I liked what Kitty Spencer wore. That's such a gorgeous shade of green, that went so well with her colouring, not so keen on the paterned bit, the hat was beautiful, and worked well with the low bun at the back. She sort of oozes sex appeal doesn't she. A lot of the guests do I guess.

I've just thought, I wrote "wore" but technically it's "wearing"? I bet they all look a lot different in the morning Grin

Lucked · 19/05/2018 16:31

I thought Eugenia looked underdressed rather than just understated.

james Blunts wife and Amal had the best dresses.

I thought Priyanka Chopra looked amazing too.

CurlyWurlyTwirly · 19/05/2018 16:31

I think.Louise Windsor is going to be one to watch style wise. She seems to be inheriting her mum's excellent taste.

Fergie looked elegant and appropriate. I hated Eugenies dress. She has too big a bust for Jackie O.chic.

Amal looked amazing, yo'd think.she was the movie star!

Also Sarah Raffety from suits.
Victoria Lockwood & Gina Torres looked great in those jaunty trilbies
