Where did the dress come from?

After logical explanations....
Myhermes man arrives yesterday and I sign for small squishy package. I frequently order stuff and said to man "ooh can't think what this is". I opened it and there's a warehouse maxi dress. Size 12. Pretty but not my cuppa. It doesn't appear to have come direct from warehouse as no paperwork but tags are attached, 65 quid down to 30.
I did not order this.
I have checked both my bank accounts and my eBay and Amazon and PayPal. Nothing.
It was addressed to me.
What's that all about then?
Oh can rule out husband or adult daughter or any other kind meaning relative or friend!!!

This has happened to me through eBay...1st time a coral dress from believe it or not warehouse! I had received all my items and gone through sold listings messaged the people etc never got to the bottom of that one.

2nd time,around a year later freaky I received another coral dress from dp think, I was a bit like wtf! Something strange going on here! Found out the seller had mixed it up with some jeans great.


3rd time,seller sent me some swimming costumes she had got mixed up with a bridesmaid dress...thing was the dress had been a buy it now and she still had the swimsuits for sale 🤔not sure how she got those mixed up.

I'm not an avid eBay user and only buy random stuff when it's cheapest there, most recently a harness for my puppy and only 6 items this year. Nothing can be gleaned from any of this

Yes to the eBay thing, I'll try working through recent purchases...
It's too random to be a prize and can't be something I've forgotten as deffo more of a 14 at the moment

Check ebay for completed listings. It might be that a seller you bought from before made a mistake with the address.

Probably something you bought from eBay and the person has labelled the wrong item with your address.

Is it possible you won it? My friend had similar, except it was a skirt. It was from Lularoe, and she had completely forgotten entering a contest on Facebook. It took her weeks to figure out where it came from.

So you have any catalogues that mean you won't have paid yet and potentially "butt dialed " (well butt ordered ) the dress?
