MargoChanning did the chester zoo one get an ending before it was zapped? I didn't see it if there was. I get a bit like Sheldon (Big Bang) when I don't get the endings to things. Really sets me off Angry

Reported 100 times. That's only 1% at best on who was following this epic yesterday.

Chester Zoo troll fessed up openly before the zap.

Whooo! Well done MNHQ, that was the right choice Smile

Even if it isn't all true (and I #believe!) it is a useful resource for anyone dealing with an entitled arse!

Give MNHQ WORKzilla's contact details and they can confirm with her ;-) They could even point her at the relevant Local board, in case she needs some new friends...

For those helpfully pointing out that you can bookmark instead of posting - yes, but afaik posting is the only thing you can do that means when the thread is deleted you see the deletion message, rather than the thread just disappearing. So actually, lots of posts like this is more likely where people are suspicious: few people say they are posting for the deletion message, but many are. This has been pointed out as a problem before, but somehow they never get round to implementing any of the solutions people propose :-(

What I don't understand is why all those calling troll don't just fuck off instead of staying on the thread.

Who made you the thread police, walking?

By the way, no one is saying things like this don't happen. Of course there are entitled people everywhere.

And please do not compare the incomparable Mexican house thief to this.

OP, you're persistent, I'll give you that Grin

I would like you all to know I have just taken time out from my WORK to read all three threads at lightning speed (one so I could catch up and two because I am in an open plan office).

Did I mention I am at WORK?

Also there is only a mechanism to report a thread to MNHQ.

There is no mechanism to support a thread to MNHQ - maybe they wanna take a look at that...

I've read all of this over the last two days as a lurker but have to post now to say I am so pleased that Mumsnet HQ have verified you and will unblock your account.

And I've known one or two people as entitled as that...

Morning everyone,

Thanks for all your reports. We don't reply to each one individually these days, but we wanted to assure you that we've heard you loud and clear.

We're really sorry for our delayed response. We have just been in touch with the OP to apologise; we don't always get things right and we clearly didn't hit the mark here.

We received a fair few reports about these threads, so we temporarily suspended the OP's account; which in hindsight we think was a bit too hasty. The last thing we like to do is cause any real-life upset.

We've had a good look at everything in the cold light of day and the OP does seem to check out, so we will be unsuspending her account and leaving these threads to stand.

walking I don't think you understand what 'thread police' means. Telling people to fuck off from a thread means you are policing the thread, which is what you were doing.

I have found on MN that if you post something that has happened to you that hasn't happened to a certain section on MN you are called a troll.

The only events in my life I've ever come close to starting threads about are usually pretty whacky. I'd be banned in a heartbeat if I posted my last.....interesting occurrence.

I must say, remembering to tell us that ds had been off sick all day with a vomiting bug would have been excellent forward thinking if it were all triptrappery.
