He said I don't think you should sit there. I said said excuse me what are you on about? He said the bags are massive and take up the fly space.
Well that was it. I was so angry, it wasn't a big amount. How dare he say that to me. I shouted at him that he had really offended me and it backed off and sat in the flight seat.
Now I'm thinking about it I don't know AIBU?

My interpretation:
Fly space - the space where flies might collect in between the window and the seat up against the window. Usually a narrow metal strip or small gap there so I am guessing it means he crushed himself up against the window in the space normally kept for dead flies.
Flight seat. One of the extra seats that you have to fold down to use - usually up near the front of the bus.

Well actually they are common terms. The fly space is clearly the space between the Window and passenger. Everyone who rides a bus knows that.
No we don't! What country are you in? Are you telling us that your shopping was on the seat and you refused to move it and let someone sit down?
