AIBU?

To become grumpy about the weather/washing?

Load of bedding to wash. Bunged it on early and just hung it out - glorious sunshine and weather says it'll be fine for the day.

So why am I now seeing dark clouds and the sun disappearing?

AIBU want to sigh and just stuff it all in the tumble drier?!

Disclaimer I won't actually do this unless it actually rains, but still!

And here in damp Yorkshire. Four loads dry, and one final load in the house to finish.

I hope you've all got your washing in now. It's absolutely chucking it down here in sunny Norfolk!

It has been a glorious drying day today. Sunny but breezy. We got home from holiday last night and all the washing has been done and is dry. All 7 (8?) loads. I am well pleased.

YANBU at all. I swear the clouds wait til I've pegged the last sock on the whirly-gig before they come over all menacing and rainfilled.

No dryer here either. I'm seriously considering writing a complaining letter to the Times about all this sogginess. Keep it for the winter for goodness sake. Smile

Urgh no! I have enough bother dealing with mine, and I seem to have signed up for doing DBIL's rugby kit as well... On the other hand, he's hacking back plants and cutting my grass, so can't complain Grin

Any chance of any of you popping some of mine in with yours for the next load? Been home for 5 days now, still got more to do and sick of it!

I've got some whites plus some light colours, please.

Any offers?

(you don't need to iron them too, although that would be nice....)

I must admit, our new house has a conservatory which dries things remarkably quickly Grin

Just need to find someone to iron it now...

I've never had a tumble dryer and used to hate trying to dry bedding in the winter.

The house we are in is quite old and has a Sheila Maid in the kitchen - right by the boiler. I love it so much. It's one of my very favourite things about the house.

Well, it hasn't rained yet, though was a bit worried as I headed out to supermarket.

First load is almost dry though, and second is getting there, clothes now out - but still not looking good!

I've got a load on so it had better not rain. It's supposed to be 26 degrees today and 29 tomorrow in London. Two degrees less than that where I am.

YANBU - I really feel I have achieved something if I manage to get 2 or 3 loads of washing outside. I hate having to use the tumble drier in summer, it is such a waste.

I feel the same! After 2 rainy days I was happy to get a load of bedding out on the line, but as I'm pegging it out I noticed those black clouds you spoke about..... It's supposed to be nice here today Confused

Oh I agree i hung a load of towels out in glorious sunshine, went out for the day and came home in the rain! So annoying!

YANBU! We've just come back from a couple of days away, with all the associated washing. We don't even have the tumble dryer option Sad.
