AIBU?

to get irritated by people parking over my driveway

I do live close to a small patch of green space and mine and the next house are the last two on our side of the road with a driveway. I frequently get delivery men and people's visitors parking either fully or partly over my drive and it can be very inconvenient as sometimes it's a squeeze getting on. Part of my driveway is a lowered kerb and part is no lowered kerb so depending on how they have parked I am not prepared to bump up my kerb and over the small grass verge that is there. I am getting increasingly annoyed as today one of next doors visitors where all over the lowered section of my driveway where I access my drive and I wasn't going to ruin my tyres by trying to bump up the kerb. How should I tackle this.

If the kerb is not dropped then people can park there. I have done, when it was the last space available and I had an appointment at a nearby building.

A concrete garden isn't a drive unless the kerb is dropped. And there are times when the council won't allow a dropped kerb, maybe due to traffic flow or position, etc.

I used to live on a street of terraced houses, so I guess the temptation to create a drive out of the garden was enormous. But one person who tried it was refused a dropped kerb.

Dropped kerb or not, it's rude as fuck.

Just apply for the rest of the kerb to be dropped.

I HAVE a dropped kerb and every delivery van for 4 houses either way and hslf those peoples visitors park over my fucking drive. Delivery I csn live with as its 2 mins but visitors gaaah. I went out when one was there and politely asked could he please not park there as I've had this a lot and its causing me issues. Did this in front of neighbour. Not had anyone park there since. That solved the mystery of whose visitors always parked there...

Why isn't the kerb dropped across the whole of your drive?

I know. that on the undropped section of my drive that there isn't much I can do. However the dropped section flows over onto the front of my neighbours as well and after that we always have rows of cars parked for the houses without drives along the green.
